The Vicenza-based tannery, Conceria Cristina, which together with Gasby and Miura makes up the Peretti Group, has recently formed a joint venture with Tiger Leather of Greensboro (North Carolina) called the Peretti Leather Group. The aim of the venture is to establish a presence in the middle/high-end furniture market in the United States and to expand the business in the USA through new target product markets. The investment value has not been disclosed.

Joint venture in the USA

In the Peretti Leather Group, Tiger Leather will bring its assets and management team. The USA-based company, which will be the first brand of the new company, provides high-end leather to the hospitality and contract sectors. According to bizjournals, the company recently built a new 24,000 square meter warehouse and 6,000 square meter office space and has announced that it is adding new machinery and equipment to expand the warehouse’s production capacity.

Aim: Establish presence in the USA

The directors of the new joint venture are the founder and CEO of Tiger Leather, Frank Toledano, and Stefano Peretti, the third generation to lead Conceria Cristina and the tannery group. “We have been working with Stefano and the Peretti family since our inception, over 20 years ago. So this partnership makes logical sense for both companies,” Toledano says. “We are looking forward to growing our Hospitality and Contract business lines as part of the Peretti Leather Group.” According to Stefano Peretti, “It is time to increase our presence and expand our offerings in the United States.”
